yarn bombing

Yarn Bombing aka Guerrilla Knitting is a new form of art that started in Texas when people were looking for something to do with their leftover yarn. The unique form of removable graffiti quickly spread across North America. Canada was the first to take the art to a national level when Joann Matvichuk from Lethbridge, Alberta named June 11 International Yarn bombing Day.
There is no question that yarn bombing is a way to lighten up dull areas and/or supplement natures beauty.
