What Does A tentree Ambassador Do? Here's Why You Should Join The tentree Ambassador Family
We here at tentree are always looking for ways to achieve our goal of planting trees, and many of our fans and customers want to help in whatever way they can! We’re always on the lookout for eco-conscious trailblazers that will help us spread our mission, inspire others to protect the world we play in, and plant more trees!
who is an ambassador?
Our ambassador program is an inclusive one. Some brands have strict application processes and blah blah, but that's not the point of the tentree ambassador program... we want to welcome anyone who wants to help spread our mission of sustainability! tentree’s mission is to plant 1 billion trees by 2030, and we get closer to that goal with each new ambassador who joins us! While we are an inclusive brand, there are a few requirements that we like to see each ambassador meet.
To be a tentree ambassador, we ask that you are passionate for nature, adventure, sustainability, and of course: planting trees! You should live an active, engaging, energetic lifestyle and be over the age of 16. We do ask that you have a public Instagram profile so you can help us spread our mission on social media! Our ambassadors hike, go camping, snowboard or ski, work on their photography, and everything in between. But most of all, our ambassadors help us to protect the world we play in.
what does an ambassador do?
We are all about taking action for our planet, and that passion is reflected in our ambassador program as well! Each month, we issue a new mission for our ambassadors. For example, on world cleanup day 2018, we challenged our ambassadors to clean up their neighborhoods. As a result, our ambassadors picked up a total of 1,018 pieces of litter! We also asked our ambassadors to help spread the word about Giving Tuesday last fall, where we gave back to those impacted by California’s wildfires. With their help, we were able to donate a portion of our proceeds to the victims of these wildfires through the SAVE program!
Not all ambassador missions are serious hard work though... we have lots of fun missions too! For example, we held a contest for Nature Photography Day where we asked our ambassadors to show off the best nature photos they've taken, and we cast a vote to determine the winner! All of the finalists got featured on the tentree instagram, and the top 3 won prizes.
what are the perks?
We wouldn’t ask our ambassadors to put in all that effort without some serious perks! These include occasional discounts on products or collections, early access to new product releases like our Mystery Bags and special sales, and on occasion, free samples of new products, like our new pet supplies!
We also give our ambassadors a sneak peak at new products and give them the opportunity to help us decide on new products and designs through the use of private polls and surveys!
Perhaps the best perk of all: as an ambassador, you’ll be connected with a global network of like-minded eco-warriors that love nature, being active, and protecting the world they play in too. There is a special private Facebook group for ambassadors to join once accepted to the program.
Our ambassador program is still brand new and there are more exciting things are on the horizon! Soon, we’ll have more opportunities for ambassadors to be featured on our website, our blog, and our social media. We’re also preparing for ambassador meetups and are designing ambassador-exclusive apparel.
