Spring 2014 Trend Alert

It’s time for another season, both outdoors and on the runways. Spring 2014 is all about shedding the Canada Goose and showing a little skin – we’re talking see-through, sheers and slightly bare shoulders and midriffs. From the stages of London and New York’s Fashion Week, here are the hottest trends right now:
Coming in softly this year are entire rainbows of light and bright tones. Chalky purples and peach-pinks are quickly rising to the top, but any shade will do paired with a white second piece. Style tip: tentree’s “peace & love” tank with a pair of pastel jeans or skirt, and you’ll blossom like a perennial.
There’s no shame in showing a little skin, especially through the safety of a see-through blouse. Chiffon and other transparent fabrics can also be perfect for spiffying up an outfit, without trying too hard. Style tip: Go casual but classy with a see-through pastel blouse and underneath tank top, topped off with one of tentree’s cool snapback hats.
The bomber jacket has been revived from the ’80s, and the more eye-catching, the better. Bombers can add a little edge to those aforementioned pastel pieces, especially with colourful flower patterns or a bright shade of highlighter neon. Style tip: Layer a tentree t-shirt like foreshore or take flight with jeans and a bomber jacket.
Midriffs are making a comeback, after hiding out all winter. But don’t worry, you can still cover up with something see-through or even a bomber jacket – it’s all about overlaying different colours and textures. Style tip: Be bold and cut your own crop top from a tentree tee. Then hashtag it #tentree and post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
Is spring here to stay? That’s always the burning question of this time of year. So keep a few oversized tees not only for the sake of style, but if winter rears its ugly head once again. Style tip: Ladies, have you looked at tentree’s men’s t-shirts and long sleeves? They fit perfectly tucked into skinny jeans.
